AZL action in Z by platelayer.com

New AZL prototype of EMD F59PHI in action on San Joaquin Division on the Golden Empire II Layout build by Lyn St. Laurent. The layout is featured in Model Railroader 3-2004. The prototype model is not put in production yet and the original is used on the west coast of US by Amtrak West. The passenger cars are delivered only to Amtrak West and used on trains from Los Angeles to San Diego and some other lines from LA.

The Golden Empire II layout in Oslo, Norway
On Dec 14. 2004, myself and Tor-Jørgen Moskaug were invited home to Hans Henrik Riddervold, the owner of American Z-Line(AZL) in his home in Oslo, Norway, to see some new models.
And also a big surprise: The Golden Empire II layout, created by Lyn St. Laurent, featured in Model Railroader 3-2004, was in the room, ready for action.
This very nice layout has travelled all the way from the States over to Norway and is now owned by Hans Henrik. Some work need to be done to have the layout fully operational.
At that time, I will be there to create some video action to share with all of you. So stay tuned for more action on the Golden Empire II layout!
In the meantime can you check out the pictures here:
